ABOUT
This seat is reserved for you this Christmas is the theme of the 2010
The back of the card will say “Worship with us” and have a space for congregations to put their Christmas service and event times.
The Communication Services Unit is again partnering with congregations to produce high-quality, low-cost resources for Christmas outreach in local communities.
This campaign aims to present an image of the local Uniting Church as a place to worship and reconnect with the Jesus story over Christmas and to show people that there is a place for everybody (even Santa!) in the body of Christ.
Additional materials provided online will include copies of the artwork for local congregational use, PowerPoint templates, a press release for use with local media and inclusion in the online list of Christmas service times and locations.
Congregations that do not participate in the Christmas campaign can still sign up to a special section on Synod website (www.ucaqld.com.au) listing the Christmas service times and locations.
COSTS
Starter pack: 3000 postcards and 10 full colour A3 posters – $165 (Includes packing and postage to your congregation).
Additional postcards are available at $130 for 3000 (minimum lot) and posters at $10 for packs of 10.
An invoice will be sent addressed to your treasure in November.
Please note: Prices are cheaper than the previous two years.
ART
Postcards will have the full colour This seat is reserved for you theme and artwork on one side.
The back will display the invitation “Worship with us”, plus the congregation’s individual contact information, Christmas service times and events in black and white. But remember – less is more!
A3 Posters in full colour gloss will have the same theme and matching artwork and will have a blank space for you to write a message. These are designed for placement in shopping centres and community notice boards.
Postcards can be distributed by contract letterbox delivery services at around $45 per 1000 or by Australia Post (contact your local Australia Post office to utilise that service) or can be hand delivered by congregation members. This service is not provided by the Communications Services Unit.
When delivering please do not put in letter boxes with “no junk mail” or “ Australia post only” signs. While we don’t think this is junk mail, people have complained in the past.
Congregations will need to complete their order by advising their service times and other information for the back of the postcard by the deadline.
Please note registrations close Thursday 16 September 2010.
Final information and service times need to be completed and your proof approved by Thursday 30 September 2010. You will receive your proof via email. Please check all information is correct.
LATE APPLICATIONS CANNOT BE ACCEPTED as we need to make print deadlines.
DELIVERY
Postcards and posters will be delivered to you at your end-of-year Presbytery meetings or posted for those who are not able to take delivery this way. North Queensland and inter-state will be posted. You should receive your postcards and posters in November.
